Terms of use
Last updated October 4, 2026
Draft for legal review. Bracketed details are still to be confirmed.
These terms are an agreement between you and [Legal business name] (“we”) for the Passbinder app and website. By creating an account or using Passbinder you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can use Passbinder
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement. Keep your sign-in email secure; your account is for you alone.
What Passbinder is, and is not
- Passbinder is independent exam prep. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pearson VUE, PSI, the Texas Department of Insurance or any other state regulator.
- It is not a state-approved pre-licensing course. If your state requires one, take it as well.
- Our lessons and questions are written from official sources, but they are educational material, not legal, tax or insurance advice, and they may contain errors. Laws and figures change; where it matters, check the official source we cite.
- Readiness scores and predictions are estimates. We cannot promise that you will pass, except as set out in the pass guarantee terms when that guarantee is offered.
Free plan and Pass Pack
- The free plan includes the features described in the app. The Pass Pack is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, giving full access for the period shown at purchase (currently 90 days).
- Prices are shown before you buy. In-app purchases are made through Apple or Google and are also subject to their terms; refunds for those purchases are handled by the store under its policies.
- Website purchases are sold by our reseller Paddle and are subject to Paddle’s terms and our refund policy shown at checkout.
- Any pass guarantee is governed by its own terms, shown in the app when it is available.
Acceptable use
- Use Passbinder for your own study. Do not copy, share, sell or scrape our lessons or questions, or try to reverse engineer the app.
- Do not submit or share real exam questions. Licensing exam content is confidential and protected by the exam provider.
- Do not misuse the service, interfere with it or access other people’s accounts or data.
Our content and your feedback
Passbinder’s lessons, questions, design and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your account is in good standing. If you send feedback or report a problem, we may use it to improve Passbinder without owing you anything.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Paid access does not transfer to another person.
Disclaimers and limits
To the extent the law allows, Passbinder is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for more than the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [State or country whose law governs these terms], except where your local consumer law gives you other rights.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we will post the new version here, and for significant changes tell you in the app or by email before they apply. Questions: help@passbinder.com, [Legal business name], [Mailing address].
